Holy Trinity, Westward Ho!

For any safeguarding concerns regarding Holy Trinity Church, please contact Bobbie Rowbottom at bobbierowbottom@gmail.com.

Holy Trinity Church, built in 1869, is a lively and welcoming venue that gained full parish status in 2017.

The church combines historical charm with modern flexibility, featuring individual seating for 200 that suits both worship and cultural events. Holy Trinity is a cultural heartbeat for the community, frequently partnering with Barnstaple’s Beaford Arts to host events ranging from intimate theatre to storytelling and live music. Independently, the church also hosts choirs, brass bands and discos, to name a few, providing a strong catalogue of cultural events. The church hall buzzes with activity, offering bingo, Knit and Natter sessions, and a local venue for hire, supported by recently upgraded facilities that enhance accessibility. Local craft markets and coffee mornings further cement the church’s role as a community focal point.

With its accessible and inclusive spirit, Holy Trinity warmly invites all to join its rich tapestry of faith, culture, and community life, making it a vibrant hub in North Devon’s Torridge Coastal Mission Community.

People value the Torridge Coastal Mission Community in all sorts of ways: as a collection of great historic buildings; as the beating heart of North Devon's Church of England worship; as venues for concerts and community building activities; as inspirational spaces to reflect; and as social hubs.

We don’t receive regular funding from the government or from the Church of England, so your donation really will make a difference. It will help ensure our long-term financial stability and enable us to emerge ready to serve the people of North Devon, as we have done for years.

Thank you so much for any support you are able to give.
